Secret woodland location

For the Birds is an enchanting outdoor promenade installation in the Sussex woodland. Access to the site is only via Big Lemon bus service provided by Brighton Festival.

If you have booked a departure from Hollingbury

There will be a regular shuttle bus service from Asda Hollingbury car park for to reach the site for your allocated entry slot. You may park your car free of charge in the Asda car park for a maximum of 2 hours 55 minutes.

If you have booked a departure from Central Brighton

The time on your ticket is the time your bus will depart from Old Steine (stop E): 

From Sat 6 - Fri 19 May: 8.30pm, 9.10pm, 10.10pm & 10.50pm
From Sat 20 - Sun 28 May: 8.40pm, 9.20pm, 10.20pm & 11pm

Please note that you are booking a specific bus departure time as listed above. For your return journey, you will also be booked onto a specific bus that departs 1 hour 20 minutes later e.g. if you have booked an 8.30pm departure, your return bus will leave the site at 9.50pm and drop you back at Old Steine at approximately 10.10pm.

What to wear

Please note that this is an outdoor promenade performance with narrow woodland trails, uneven and muddy ground, and some slopes. Please dress for the weather, wear appropriate footwear and avoid bringing pushchairs.
