Welcome to our Volunteering page and thank you for taking the time to visit us and find out about volunteering with Brighton Festival 2020.


Thank you to everyone who has expressed an interest in volunteering for Brighton Festival 2020, we are so grateful for your support. Recruitment is now closed.

Further to the UK Government’s advice to the public to avoid contact in social spaces including theatres, to help prevent the spread of coronavirus; It is our decision to temporarily close Brighton Dome for public events with effect from today, Tuesday 17 March 2020. This means that the Festival Volunteer training that was to have taken place this Thursday has now been postponed. We will be in touch with all applicants to confirm the rescheduled training dates in due course.

We have had an overwhelming response and will contact applicants in the coming weeks to confirm if we are able to offer you a role in your chosen area.

Please note: Applications for Front of House volunteer roles will close Monday 17 March. We will then contact you to confirm if you have been offered a role in the Front of House team and provide further details of the training sessions on Thursday 19 March. 

If you have applied for any other roles, please note that we have had an overwhelming response and we hope to contact all applicants by early April at the latest to confirm if we are able to offer you a role in your chosen area. Thank you for your patience.

Various opportunities are available, from providing a warm welcome to our visitors and audiences, to helping our social media team keep up to date with all the action. We can help volunteers develop their skills and knowledge within a busy arts organisation, whilst joining the festivities and contributing to events in your local community. So get involved, meet some new people, see some great shows and be part of something amazing this spring!
