In an afternoon of evocative imagery and profound artistry, three superlative exponents of song take a voyage through words and music inspired by the sea. 

Mark Padmore, Roderick Williams and Julius Drake are joined by star of stage and screen Rory Kinnear for performances of songs by a wide variety of composers, interspersed with readings of prose and poetry by writers ranging from Coleridge and Emily Dickinson to Kipling and Robert Frost. 

Programme to include songs by Ireland, Haydn, Stanford, Finzi, Fauré, Duparc, Tippett, Elgar, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Brahms, Wolf and Britten.
