Without Walls Weekend: An Introduction

This May, you can experience some of the most exciting new outdoor performance, and it won’t cost you a penny.

For two unforgettable afternoons, highly-skilled performers transform a couple of Brighton parks into open-air theatrical bonanzas. Across 6 brand-new shows you’ll see tightrope walking, seriously silly theatre, hip hop capoeira, disability-defying dance, rock ‘n’ roll juggling and… bees? (You’ll see…!)

Everyone’s welcome, so bring your friends, family and a good old-fashioned picnic. We’ll provide the entertainment!

Join us from 12 noon each day for a packed afternoon of new and exciting outdoors shows. Bring a picnic and the family.

One person, one system; each governed by the other. Hold On explores the relationship between the performer and the system that is both his stage and his means of expression.

Using a self-counterweighted slack rope as the starting point of an eloquent theatrical language, Stefano Di Renzo blends circus and physical theatre, creating a mesmeric solo show. He is an intrinsic part of the entire structure and holds it up, but if he wants to leave he will fall…

Stefano Di Renzo is a charming performer. Assuredly physically accomplished but always emotionally engaging
