Flathampton

Directed by Dani Parr, Associate Director at Royal & Derngate

Imagine the biggest playmat in the world. Now imagine that you live in the town marked out on it: Flathampton.

Everything in Flathampton is as flat as a pancake – from the sandwiches in the Cake Walk Café to the stethoscope on Doctor Zee’s desk. Then Kate comes back from the big city, bringing with her a truckload of objects that introduce a whole new dimension. And she needs your help. Along the way you can collect Flathampton money to spend in Flathampton shops, make a cake in the café, host a TV show for Flathampton Daily News, and top it all off with a celebratory party.

Over 90 joyously playful minutes, children and families meet the residents of Britain’s flattest town and help them turn Flathampton into a fully three-dimensional world. An interactive experience for primary age children, young and older, to enjoy with their friends and families
