I Wish I Was A Mountain

World premiere & Brighton Festival Co-Commission
Directed by: Lee Lyford

'Toby Thompson is the future' Kate Tempest

The town of Faldum receives an unexpected visit from a wanderer offering to grant a wish to anyone who wants one. Before long, mansions stand where mud huts once squatted, and beggars ride a round in horse-drawn carriages. And one man wishes to be turned into a mountain.

Writer, performer and former Glastonbury Poetry Slam Champion Toby Thompson, uses rhyme, live music and just a smattering of metaphysical philosophy to boldly reimagine Herman Hesse’s classic fairytale.
