Arrivals + Departures Request Show with Radio Reverb Looking for Your Stories

Visual arts, Take Part
Somerset House

What song would you like to be played at your funeral and why? Did you have a playlist for the birth of your child, and if so which song defines that moment?

Artists YARA + DAVINA are looking for contributors to take part in a special one-hour request show and podcast with our media partners Radio Reverb, as part of their public artwork ARRIVALS + DEPARTURES.

If you’d like to take part, read through the points below and your story could become part of the project.

  • Contributors would need to be available to do a short interview on a video call with the artists who will ask you to talk about your chosen song and what it means to you, in relation to a birth or a future death. Interviews will take place sometime between 15 and 22 April at a time that suits you and shouldn’t last longer than 30 minutes.

  • Contributors would need to agree to using their interviews as part of the radio show as a pre-recorded broadcast on Radio Reverb and as an online podcast during Brighton Festival. Anonymity will be respected but it would be useful if we can use your first name on air.

  • If you would like to register your interest in taking part, please email YARA + DAVINA by Wednesday 14 April[javascript protected email address]Please include a few personal details such as your name, age and the title of the song you’d like to play. You are welcome to include details of why this song means something to you.
