2012: Vanessa Redgrave

Vanessa Redgrave brought her unique passion to the role of Guest Director of the 46th Brighton Festival.

Stage, screen and television actress, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, member of Liberty, Amnesty International and a longstanding supporter of Memorial and Za Prava Cheloveka (the two chief Russian Human Rights NGOs), Vanessa Redgrave brought her unique passion to the role of Guest Director of the 46th Brighton Festival.

Among the many highlights, Brighton Festival 2012 included the world premiere of dreamthinkspeak's meditation on Hamlet, The Rest is Silence which transformed a vacant warehouse in Shoreham.
