We See You Now
Join writer-in-residence at Seven Sisters Country Park, Alinah Azadeh, and guests for an immersive evening of readings, discussion, song, sound and video, inspired by the iconic and shifting coastal landscapes of the Sussex coast.
This new body of work, which has emerged from the We See You Now literature project, features a preview of new live and recorded work by Akila Richards, Dulani Kulasinghe, Georgina Parke, Georgina Aboud, Jenny Arach, Joyoti Grech Cato, Oluwafemi Hughes and Razia Aziz. Each writer uses rich metaphors and immersive experience of this spectacular and shifting coastline to explore personal migration stories, belonging, legacies of empire, climate change and justice, biodiversity and renewal. Considering issues of access, inclusion and equity, they also seek to imagine together more equitable futures through their work.
The landscapes featured in this work can be experienced through the writers’ eyes and ears via the We Hear You Now audio-walk from Sat 24 Jun, with a walking guide available from Seven Sisters Country Park Visitor Centre, or online via the Seven Sisters website.
