Brighton Festival Volunteering Drop-In Recruitment Event: 

Thu 27 Feb 2025, 5.15–6.30pm, Brighton Dome

Are you aged 18+, friendly, enthusiastic, and interested in the arts and outdoor events? Volunteer with Brighton Festival, meet new people and have fun this Spring! 

If you are new to Brighton Festival or would like to have a chat before applying, drop-In to the Brighton Dome Foyer anytime between 5.15–6.30pm on Thu 27 Feb 2025 to chat to Brighton Festival staff and find out about the different volunteering opportunities. Then go online to apply!

You don’t need any previous experience and there are flexible opportunities to volunteer throughout May.

Front of House Volunteering Opportunities

We will be recruiting Front of House Volunteers as part of Brighton Festival from Fri 28 Feb 2025. For more information come along to the Recruitment Eve on Thu 27 Feb at Brighton Dome. Drop in anytime between 5.15–6.30pm

FAQs

Q: I submitted my application but have not yet received any emails from Brighton festival. What does this mean?

A: Have you received an email from ‘staffsavvy’ confirming that your application has been submitted successfully? If not, please go back into your application using the code you were sent via email from ‘staffsavvy’. Go to the end of your application, review your answers, then press ‘submit’. This should generate an email confirming that your application has been submitted successfully. If you still do not receive this email, please contact volunteers@brightonfestival.org

Q: I have received an email confirming that my application has been submitted successfully but have not yet heard from Brighton Festival. What does this mean?

A: You should have received an email confirming which training session you have been invited to. If you have not received an invitation to attend one of the trainingsessions please contact volunteers@brightonfestival.org

Q: I have completed my training. When will I hear about the role / shifts I have been allocated?

A: We receive a high volume of applications for volunteers. We will review all applications as quickly as possible and will do our best to confirm your allocated role by 22 April. If we are unable to offer you your first choice of volunteering role, we will do our best to offer you the chance to volunteer in an alternative role if you would like to do so.

Some roles require an interview, in this case we will shortlist candidates based on the information provided in your application form and invite you to an interview. If you are not invited to an interview, we will do our best to offer you an alternative role.

Q: I have applied for more than one role. Which role will I be offered?

A: If you have applied for more than one role you will be allocated to the role that we feel will be the best fit depending on the information provided in your application form, or you may be invited to volunteer for two roles (depending on volume of applicants).

Q: My availability has changed since I submitted my application form. What should I do?

A: We understand that circumstances change. You will have the opportunity to update your availability throughout the Festival. If you are no longer available to volunteer at all please contact us to let us know at volunteers@brightonfestival.org
