Our Brighton Festival: Southern Water

Interviews

We sat down with long-standing Brighton Festival sponsors Southern Water for a quick chat about their experiences at Brighton Festival and what they’re most looking forward to this year...

The theme of this year’s festival is Rebuilding. How have you been rebuilding following the events of the past two years?

As a water supplier, we work around the clock, seven days a week. During the pandemic, the challenge has been making sure that we could continue to serve our customers, and at the same time look after the safety and well-being of our employees. The past two years have been difficult for everyone and we’ve worked hard to make sure that our vulnerable customers are supported with a variety of assistance schemes. This year’s theme reflects our ambitions, as we continue our work to enhance the South East’s future well-being, economy and the environment. We look forward to embracing what’s ahead, supporting the communities we serve.

You’ve been a supporter of Brighton Festival for many years. What are your highlights from previous festivals?

We’re so pleased to be supporting Brighton Festival again this year and we’re particularly proud of our long-running support for The Children’s Parade and the Weekend Without Walls’ community events, which are always particular highlights.

What are you most looking forward to at Brighton Festival 2022?

There are so many events to choose from, all celebrating our vibrant art scene with dance, song and voice. It’s being able to come together with the community that makes all the difference and the events where the whole family can take part, will always be favourites.

What is the best thing about being a Brighton Festival sponsor?

Brighton Festival is such an important event in the annual calendar for this whole region and beyond, so it’s great to be involved in supporting our local community in this way.
