Take part in creating a new show for Brighton Festival 2023!
Are you looking to get involved in a creative project for the new year? Do you have an interest in writing, performing, or theatre design?
Brighton People’s Theatre (BPT) is looking for local people to get involved in creating a family-friendly musical, The Songbird Café, which will tour local parks during Brighton Festival in May 2023.
Anyone from the local community with some experience or enthusiasm in creative writing, performing, dancing, songwriting, singing or set and costume design are encouraged to take part.
Together with professional artists, BPT will be running workshops with participants over a series of weekend dates from the end of January and running until the summer.
Naomi Alexander, Artistic Director said:
“We’re really excited to be working on this new project that is all about collaboration with local people. It’s a great opportunity to get involved behind the scenes of a theatre show and to develop ideas in a friendly and encouraging environment. We’d love to hear from anyone within the BN postcode area who wants to make this a really special show for everyone to enjoy at Brighton Festival 2023.”
BPT is a registered charity that aims to transform the way theatre is made and to tell the tales of our city, for our city.
