Our Roots is a one-of-a-kind event created by Brighton's own legendary queer club nights UOKHUN?, Polyglamorous and Gal Pals. These club powerhouses have been brought together to create an unforgettably colourful celebration of queer chaos at the iconic Brighton Dome.

Expect a wild and vivid night filled with happy hedonism, fabulous fashion, go-go performers, and non-stop dancing to a banquet of bangers, including pop, disco, house and techno. The first ever club night at Brighton Dome, this event is all about inclusivity, celebrating Brighton’s LGBTQIA+ community and heritage, and creating a safe space for all.

Featuring DJ sets from BISHI and Brighton Festival Guest Director Nabihah Iqbal, and visual art installation by Louis-Jack and Jak Skot, Our Roots is an unmissable opportunity to be part of our city’s queer history. This event is open to all people who are committed to inclusivity, respect, and creating a safe space for all to dance the night away.

Meet the club nights joining forces with Brighton Festival to create Our Roots:

UOKHUN throws raves in church basements, East London strip joints and Ibiza super club toilets, UOKHUN deliver queer hot mess clubbing at its finest. An inclusive not exclusive party giving an ironic two fingers up to pretentious club culture.

Polyglamorous is a Brighton based chromatic queer club night, combining nightlife, art, fashion, music and dance. Its four resident DJs always aim to create a dancefloor that guests can lose themselves in, as well as platforming as many queer artists as possible.

GalPals is a queer dance party centring queer women, trans and non-binary people. It was created to address the lack of safe spaces for queer women, trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming people. They aim to create a dancefloor where these groups can let loose and feel safe and free to party in a space where they are the majority.
