Streamed at the same time as the live event, British-Nigerian historian, broadcaster and film-maker David Olusoga joins Brighton Festival Guest Director Nabihah Iqbal for a very special evening. Delving into the history of Brighton and East Sussex, the two will discuss local stories and explore the theme of what it means to be British today.
David Olusoga’s most recent TV series include Empire (BBC 2) and the BAFTA winning Britain’s Forgotten Slave Owners (BBC 2). David is also the author of Black & British: A Forgotten History which was awarded both the Longman-History Today Trustees Award and the PEN Hessell-Tiltman Prize.
