Bali Rai

15 Feb 2013

Bali Rai’s journey from a series of dead-end jobs to one of the country’s most respected writers for older children is inspiring for any budding author. So he’s the ideal person to talk about how to become a writer: how to find your voice, your stories and your confidence; how to use your own life, and the people around you, to create vibrant settings and great characters for any story. Bali’s books range from creepy ghost stories like his latest, Shivers, to the Soccer Squad series; he’s an inspiration to girls and boys of all tastes and abilities, and in this workshop he’s sure to get your creativity going!
