Breakin’ Convention 2012

1 Jan 2012

In a special Festival extension the annual international festival of hip-hop dance theatre leapfrogs the finish line, bringing you more live arts entertainment just when you thought the party was over.

Hosted and curated by eminent UK hip-hop theatre artist Jonzi D, this jaw-dropping production presents the very best acts from around the world and around the corner.

Alongside local crews, there are stunning performances from Clash 66 (France & Korea), a sublime duet that will challenge the notions of hiphop dance theatre; plus current UK Bboy champions and winners of Battle of the Year 2011 Vagabond Crew (France) with their idiosyncratic fusion of street-dance styles. Breakin’ Convention is much more than just a show – it is an experience! Take part in freestyle sessions with DJs in the foyers and workshops from top international artists.

A Sadler’s Wells Project in association with Dance Consortium.
