Winner of last year’s Royal Overseas League Competition, the Busch Ensemble has established an enviable reputation since it was founded in 2010. They have performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and The Sage, Gateshead, and this year makes their Wigmore Hall debut. This concert includes music by the Czech composer Suk in commemoration of the liberation on 8 May 1945 of the Theresienstadt concentration camp. Theresienstadt is also remembered in the Nash Ensemble’s evening concert on 10 May.
