Malcolm Middleton + Iain Shaw

12 Feb 2018

It would be wrong to brand Malcolm Middleton a miserablist. The Scottish singer-songwriter who came to prominence as one half of Arab Strap just doesn't ever write songs when he's happy. Now on his seventh solo album, he’s delighted to have been invited to perform by his friend David Shrigley, where he’ll preview new songs and revisit older work.

Joining Malcolm on the bill is Iain Shaw, a Glasgow musician whose quirky folk song-smithery has turned Shrigley’s poems into incisive songs on albums like Awesome and Listening to Slayer.
