Not Today's Yesterday

5 Feb 2019

'Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past' George Orwell

A unique collaboration between award-winning UK Bharatanatyam artist Seeta Patel and Australian choreographer Lina Limosani, Not Today's Yesterday is a one-woman politically charged dance. Blending techniques from Indian Bharatanatyam, contemporary dance and theatre (and channelling the tension of a Grimms’ fairytale), the piece questions the distorted narratives we have come to accept as accurate history. In its first appearance at Brighton Festival, Not Today’s Yesterday offers you a chance to engage in the most important geo-political conversations of this decade.
