Talk to the Demon

1 Feb 2014

What's the secret of dance? Watch the Talk to the Demon trailer

An inspiration and collaborator of Guest Director Hofesh Shechter, choreographer Wim Vandekeybus relishes defying his audience's expectations.

Dark and daring, Talk to the Demon pushes the boundaries of dance into the realm of physical theatre as Wim explores the demon within us all and the innocence of childhood.

A theatrical dissection of demons and demonising, ideals and idealising, we’ll take you on a wild ride; through visceral and arresting movement, light and dark, percussion and silence that will leave your heart racing.

Working with a soundscape and spoken word, Talk to the Demon features astonishingly powerful performances from two children alongside a cast of adults.

Co-programmed in partnership with South East Dance

Performed by: Elena Fokina, Luke Jessop, Jerry Killick, Gala Moody, Yassin Mrabtifi, Manuel Ronda, Laso Dankambary, Luke De Bolle, Samuel De Lille, Martha Killick
