The Lady: A Homage to Sandy Denny

Featuring: Core members of Bellowhead Plus Maddy Prior, Thea Gilmore, Joan Wasser (Joan As Police Woman), Jerry Donahue, Dave Swarbrick, Lavinia Blackwell, Blair Dunlop, Sam Carter, PP Arnold and other guests.

In the years since her death, Sandy Denny has gained a posthumous reputation as one of the UK’s greatest ever singer-songwriters. This very special performance showcases her entire musical legacy, inlcuding Fairport Convention, Fotheringay, her solo career and the new songs completed by Thea Gilmore on her acclaimed album Don’t Stop Singing.

Thea joins a unique line-up of artists including Denny’s former colleagues and friends and a selection of the new generation’s young admirers. Together they reveal the woman described by Richard Thompson as ‘the greatest British female artist of her generation’.
