To complement the exhibition and short film series, this special event explores Hamilton's life and work from his early stage thrillers Rope and Gaslight to his undisputed masterpiece Hangover Square (1941). Join Hamilton’s biographer Nigel Jones (Through a Glass Darkly) and crime novelist Laura Wilson (A Little Death, Dying Voices) as they reassess the impact, influence and legacy of Britain’s saloon bar laureate.
