The writer, director and performer Roy Hutchins’ longstanding collaboration with the poet Heathcote Williams has included cult performances of Whale Nation and Autogeddon. Now he adds Williams’s extraordinary new work, The Poetry Army, to the tally.

Abridged and performed by Hutchins with actors and poets voicing extracts of works by Shelley, Blake, Ginsberg, Billie Holliday, Hannah More and many others, this is a literary tour de force delivered with subversive power.

Featuring:

Shobu Kapoor poet and actor (EastEnders, Citizen Khan)

Amy Neilson Smith poet and actor (Love's Comedy, Orange Tree Theatre)

Charlie Wilson performance poet and member of Brighton Forum Theatre Collective

Directed by Paul Hodson (Meeting Joe Strummer, Fever Pitch)
