Bach Jesu meine Freude BWV  227

Scarlatti Stabat Mater

Handel Dixit Dominus HWV 232

The Belgian early music ensemble Vox Luminis was a sell-out sensation at the 2016 Brighton Festival. Now they return with their own instrumental ensemble to perform a programme full of Baroque bravura.

From the perfect poise of Bach’s motet Jesu meine Freude and the plangent beauty of Scarlatti’s Stabat mater, the programme builds to Handel’s show-stopping Dixit Dominus, full of zest and youthful passion.

This is a feast of Baroque brilliance from one of the most virtuosic vocal ensembles around.
