Sausages, Spaghetti and Sharks in Parks

Nick Sharratt’s drawings are instantly recognisable to a whole generation of children: his illustrations for more than 40 of Jacqueline Wilson's novels, including the Tracy Beaker series, have made his strong, clear style unmistakable. 

The illustrator of more than 250 books for children, including the best-selling You Choose, Shark In The Dark and Pants, will be sharing some of his favourite books, showing how he creates his characters and handing out his drawing tips. 

It's amazing how often food finds its way into Nick's picture books. In this food-themed spectacular (with the odd shark thrown in), the much-loved illustrator shares tasty favourites and stories that are new on the menu. You'll also meet the cake-loving characters from his very first chapter book, The Cat and the King. Bring paper, drawing things, and something to rest on if you want to draw along.
