Under the Cranes

Fri 15 Feb 2013

This cinematic evocation of the borough of Hackney joins an illustrious line-up of powerful cinematic portraits of London. Scripted by our Guest Director Michael Rosen, it is a filmic version of the 1950s ‘radio ballad’ audio documentary format in which Super-8 streetscapes and archival alleyways rub up against Al Bowlly and Malian kora music.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion including Michael Rosen, the film’s director Emma-Louise Williams and author of Why We Build Rowan Moore.
