Camille O'Sullivan

Sun 1 Jan 2012

The queen of sultry glamour returns for some bittersweet vocal seduction in this special intimate performance following the release of her new album in May.

Camille O’Sullivan has carved out a highly distinctive career as a singular interpreter of dramatic narrative song. From the cabaret chic of Jacques Brel and Kurt Weill to the shadowy world of Tom Waits and Nick Cave, Camille transforms each song into an intense theatrical experience. Fragile and sensual, dark-edged and drop-dead cool, the chameleonlike French-Irish chanteuse has an international reputation as a mesmerising stage performer. She has played across the world from Sydney Opera House to the Royal Festival Hall and collaborated with the likes of Marianne Faithfull, Martha Wainwright, Beth Orton and Marc Almond.

Don’t miss her as she takes us on a hypnotic journey into the heart of contemporary song.

‘O’Sullivan is completely transporting: her emotions painfully raw… night-tinged…’**** The Telegraph
