A Weekend Without Walls

Thu 5 Feb 2015

Bring your friends and family and head outdoors for a free afternoon of inventive performances with lots for your littlies.

Get on your bike and help to pedal-power a show, to send Sam on a musical adventure in Bicycle Boy by Helen Eastman Production. You can also ride an artist-built cycle-powered carousel in The Bewonderment Machine by A Bird In The Hand Theatre, a magical journey for small children.

Contemporary, parkour and street dance blend in dynamic solo Wired by Flex Dance Company - for the young and young at heart. And experience a touching portrayal of friendship in Dedicated to... by Candoco Dance Company, a new duet revealing the extraordinary power of life-long bonds.

In a homemade, water spurting, flaming and smoking apocalyptic microclimate, dance to the raucous sound of The Band at the End of the World! by Ramshacklicious (Sat 26 May only) - we bet you’ve never experienced anything like it!

If that’s not enough, come and play in The Playgound of Illusions by Travelling Light Circus; enjoy captivating storytelling with Look Up by Hikapee; or join Rosie Kay Dance Company to channel your inner Bruce Lee and train to be a Modern Warrior (Sun 27 May only).
