Andy and the Odd Socks is the band of popular kids TV presenter Andy Day, star of CBeebies show Andy and the Band. We go Behind the Scenes with Andy to discuss the band’s upcoming ‘sock n’ roll’ show at Brighton Festival on Sunday 22 May.

Where did the idea or inspiration come from for Andy and the Odd Socks? 

To be the greatest band in the world (…. according to our mums). 

How would you describe your show in three words? 

Fun packed gig.

What do you hope people will take away from your show after they have seen it? 

We make music for the under 10’s. We want to inspire them to be the best they can be….and just have a great time!

Are you looking forward to being a part of Brighton Festival 2022?

We cannot wait to play the legendary Brighton Dome venue at Brighton Festival. It’s such a great, diverse festival…and we always love playing a show at the seaside!

We have our own hit TV show called ‘Andy and the Band’ on CBBC/CBeebies. The band are patrons for the Anti Bullying Alliance Charity.
