Sun 1 Jan 2012

The final instalment in this celebration of Redgrave’s early film career. This satirical account of wartime Victorian England elicits brilliant performances from John Gielgud and Vanessa Redgrave in a tale of the contrasts between aristocracy and the lower classes. Redgrave appeared with her mother, Rachel Kempson, brother Corin and daughters Natasha and Joely in her ex-husband Tony Richardson’s film.
