Recently name-checked as the ‘New Face of Classical Music’ in The Times ‘Rising Stars of 2012’ list, Kathryn Rudge seems destined for major stardom. At only 25 years of age and fresh out of Manchester's RNCM, she has already landed a major opera role, playing the part of Cherubino in Fiona Shaw's recent ENO production of Mozart's Marriage of Figaro. She is currently rehearsing for Opera North's new staging of Handel’s Giuilo Cesare and revives her Cherubino for Glyndebourne Touring Opera later this year.
