Walking Stories

Sat 1 Feb 2014

This event is fully booked but returns may be available nearer the time

You don't come to watch Walking Stories: you live it, breathe it, build and dismantle it. A walk in the park becomes an interactive and completely immersive audio journey in this innovative outdoor experience that removes you from the clutter of life.

Equipped with an mp3 player and a set of headphones, you'll embark on a journey: original music, text and sound design will guide you through a series of spontaneous interactions with your surroundings and your companions. Moving between watching, listening and following instructions, your perceptions of the landscape are enhanced.

This inclusive and inviting experience is suitable for all ages (7+) and all fitness levels.

The Starting Point for Walking Stories is just inside Stanmer Park. Make your way along the main park road past the football fields to the first small car park on the left. You should see a gazebo and festival flags.

Please dress for the weather and wear sensible shoes. We advise you to leave all bags and valuables at home as there is nowhere to leave them and the performance is best experienced without carrying anything.

If you are unable to attend please let Ticket Office know so that we can reallocate your ticket as this performance is sold out. Please arrive in time as there are no latecomers.

Co-programmed in partnership with South East Dance. Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and co-commissioned by Greenwich Dance, Patrons of Charlotte Spencer Projects, The Point and CCN Caen/Basse-Normandie through DanSCe Dialogues 2 funded by Interreg IVA.
