Nicholas Shaxson

Fri 15 Feb 2013

In his book Treasure Islands, Nicholas Shaxson reveals the part played by tax havens in the economic crisis. He argues that they have become the silent battering rams of financial deregulation and are at the root of a wide range of world problems, from African poverty to the drugs trade to the abuse of power.

Shaxson will be talking about the tax haven’s role in where it all went wrong, exploring what he terms ‘the great untold story of globalisation’ in a powerful and thought-provoking exposé.
