Condensed Choreographies

Sun 1 Jan 2012

Three works explore how contemporary dance practices push performers to their limits, where mind and body are driven to extreme and unexpected action. Daniel Linehan’s Not About Everything is a highly-charged yet funny choreography. This critically-acclaimed solo combines intense physical effort and mesmerising cyclical language. Dog Kennel Hill Project’s The Devil & the Details is a provocative deconstruction of the creative process, ending in a spectacular coup de théâtre. Lee Meir’s Translation Included is a witty, touching solo in which daily gestures are transformed into a rich language of movement infecting the whole body.
