Acclaimed Australian performance-maker Tamara Saulwick transforms ordinary people’s experiences of death, dying and the afterlife into 'extraordinary storytelling, marked not by sadness but awe' (The Guardian).

Endings is an evocative mediation on cycles and an expression of the universal desire to stay connected to loved ones once they are gone. Using portable turntables, reel-to-reel tape players, recorded interviews and live music from folk singer Paddy Mann, this intimate and quietly powerful piece finds form for both ordinary and extraordinary aspects of that most inevitable of human experiences.

'I have to admit that I was deeply affected by Endings... Saulwick's piece released a suppressed wave of emotions in me. I can't say that I've ever had an experience quite like that... a testament to the power of theatre that can have you walking out a different person than the one that walked in' Broadway World

'Not so much about grief as death's strange intimacy' ★★★★  Sydney Morning Herald

'An elegant, economic production that delivers on its promise to stay with you long after you leave' ★★★★  The Guardian

'An unflinching, largely unsentimental look at death and dying... there was something undeniably eerie about hearing the voices of the speakers rise from vinyl record players under the pale glow of hanging spotlightsMooney on Theatre

'I was glad to see it. It’s a loving, respectful, artistic showLyn Slotkin
