Confined to her Brussels apartment, Natalia’s harrowing past as an Auschwitz survivor, and her chronic anxiety, greatly influenced Akerman’s art. This special preview screening ahead of the film’s UK release is a tribute to one of the most original and influential figures in feminist cinema, who died last year.
