In 1926, shoemaker Ab Solomons drew a doodle on his wage packet and gave it to his wife Celie. Over the next 56 years, Ab would do the same every week, lovingly illustrating the lives of their growing family in London’s East End.
Danny Braverman’s intimate one-man performance is the story of how he discovered the lost art of his Great Uncle Ab. Like the doodles themselves, it’s an absorbing feat of storytelling that draws us into the unique language of family with wit, warmth and honesty.
