Corita Kent

The ground-breaking work of Corita Kent (1918-1986) comes to Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft this summer. A Roman Catholic nun, Corita was an artist and famously charismatic educator. Her vibrant, Warhol-inspired serigraphs, banners and posters reflected her concerns about poverty, racism and war and were regularly to be seen at civil rights and anti-war rallies in the 1960s and 70s.
Alongside this exhibition will be a museum installation by Morag Myerscough and Luke Morgan - who cite Corita Kent as an early influence.
