Dr Laura Kounine (University of Sussex) will be in conversation with Zoë Howe (author and host of Rock and Roll Witch on Soho Radio) about her book Witchful Thinking. They will discuss in particular how the witch in contemporary culture has come to represent feminism and radical and revolutionary activism. This event will take place at the Feminist Bookshop event space in Brighton. There will be an opportunity for a tarot reading (paid supplement) after the event.
A collaboration with Media, Arts and Humanities at the University of Sussex, the Festival of Ideas harnesses the transformative power of arts, culture, media and humanities to fashion new ways of thinking about the past, present and future.
