A Raag and Taal (Melody and Rhythm) workshop with Jonathan Meyer and Junaid Ali
You are invited to come and get to know some of the fundamentals of South Asian raag melody and rhythms. You will learn about melody, structure, form and mood pertinent to individual raagas. South Asian classical music is an ocean to understand, developed over 5,000 years ago. This will be an hour where you will be introduced to the music, helping you better appreciate and enjoy its magic and intensity.
The Mehfil Space is an innovative initiative to promote and develop purposefully intimate gatherings for South Asian Classical Music.
