Storytelling Army

Tue 7 Feb 2017

Follow the action live over the weekend via Twitter by searching #StorytellingArmy. Look out for pop-up performances across Brighton, be it in the pub, a coffee shop, the station, the pier or even on the top deck of a bus. If you do encounter the Storytelling Army, we encourage you to post videos, photos and reactions on Twitter using the hashtag #StorytellingArmy and tagging us @brightfest & @nabokovtheatre - let's build a storytelling movement!

All the stories will be performed on Sunday 28th May from 2 - 5pm on Ship Street with special guest performances.

Each one of us has a story to tell. Extraordinary moments amongst the ordinary. The little victories against the odds. An everyday epic.

We’ll be working with nabokov and Guest Director Kate Tempest to assemble and mobilise a Storytelling Army: a dynamic collective of people from all walks of life and all corners of the city, including those who are homeless and vulnerably housed.

Spotlight on Storytelling Army

Stef O'Driscoll told us a little more about the formation of the Storytelling Army and making the arts social. Read her interview here.
