About Patrice Lawrence
Patrice Lawrence writes for children and adults mostly with a hint of crime. Her books have been shortlisted for the Costa Children's Award, Nero Book Awards and Carnegie Medal, and won a number of awards including the Waterstones Children's Book Prize for Older Fiction, the Bookseller YA Book Prize, the Crime Fest Award for Best Crime Novel for Young Adults (twice), the Jhalak Children's and Young Adult Prize for Book of the Year by a Writer of Colour and the the Little Rebels Award. Patrice has been awarded the MBE for services to literature in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
